Pyle's Pool & Spa Specialists was founded in 2021 by a CPO®-certified technician with over a decade of hands-on experience. We built this company around one idea: Denver homeowners deserve someone who actually knows what they're doing — not a call center dispatching whoever's available.
We're a small, tight-knit crew — not a franchise, not a faceless operation. That means you get the same familiar faces every visit, real accountability, and technicians who know your pool's history. If something's off with your water or equipment, we catch it on the spot — not on a return trip.
No hidden fees. Commercial clients contact us directly for a custom quote.
Extra charges may apply for auxiliary systems (fountains, waterfalls, deck jets, wading pools). 4-cartridge filter cleans are an additional charge. Hot tub or spa add-on (with pool service): +$15/visit. Standalone hot tub service (no pool): same rates as pool service.
Colorado doesn't always cooperate. Neither do pool problems. Here's a look at what showing up every week actually looks like.
"I've worked with Joel for 3 years now. Wish we had found him sooner. He is thorough, consistent and very reliable. Do yourself and your pool a favor by hiring Pyle's pools."
"Super pool cleaning and service from Joel at Pyle's Pool and Spa Specialists. Incredibly reliable!!! Beautifully cleaned pool, winterizing and opening for the spring. Joel is always open to share the how behind pool maintenance and help me understand how to silo spa from pool for heating. Thanks Joel for the years of service and continued education. Pool looks delightful. Joel is also a charming and fun gentleman, and that always helps."
"Joel is the best. My pool chemicals are always on point and I never have to worry about water clarity, even after large parties. I highly recommend Joel for all your pool upkeep."
"Excellent experience with Pyle's Pool and Spa Specialists! Very responsive and respectful team, knowledgeable specialists, and truly great service. Highly recommend!"
"These guys know what they are doing. Always aware of chemicals and what's needed to keep a pool running. Joel and the team are the best I've seen out of the last few pool service companies."
"Awesome pool service! In 2020 when everything was crazy and no company was available to help us with our pool, we found Joel! He was already so booked with work but found mercy on us! We're very thankful. He has shown up like clockwork week in and week out since then. We get excellent service from his company. He goes the extra mile when something out of the ordinary breaks down. We just know we're in good hands! Thanks Joel!"
"Joel has done an amazing job with our massive pool! The first few years of owning our pool were so hard. We battled water mold, huge fluctuations in chemical levels, filter issues, and constant stress trying to keep everything balanced and running correctly. Since hiring Pyles Pool and Spa, we honestly haven't had to worry about a thing.
Joel is incredibly knowledgeable, reliable, responsive, and proactive. He catches small issues before they become big problems and always takes the time to explain things when needed. We've been able to be completely hands off with our pool and trust that everything is being taken care of the right way.
He has saved us so much money on water between seasons, helped keep our equipment running well, and made pool ownership actually enjoyable again. It is such a relief knowing our pool is in good hands. Highly recommend Joel and Pyles Pool and Spa to anyone looking for dependable, high-quality pool service!"
"Highly recommend Joel and Pyle's Pool Service. He's been taking care of our pool and spa weekly for years and it always looks great! He's also very knowledgeable about the equipment and can often help or provide highly qualified referrals when repairs are needed."
"We hired Pyle's Pool and Spa Specialists 3 years ago. We couldn't be happier! Our previous pool company couldn't keep the water clear! Pyles Pool and Spa Specialists technicians have kept us clean and clear every week since we hired them! This 2026 season my daughter was dying to get the pool opened and start the parties! Pyles got us started up, water balanced and the initial clean done the day after the snow storm, and my daughter and friends were swimming in it that night!! That's a quick turn around! Joel and his crew are very friendly, very reliable, and most importantly, honest!"

How often should a Denver pool be professionally cleaned?
Weekly service is the standard for Denver pools during the active season — and for good reason. Colorado's UV intensity at altitude accelerates chlorine breakdown, meaning chemistry can drift significantly in seven days. A weekly visit covers water testing and balancing, debris removal, brushing, and an equipment check. That consistency is what keeps water clear and prevents the kind of buildup that shortens liner and equipment life.
Why is my Denver pool turning green even though I'm adding chemicals?
The most common culprit in Colorado is elevated cyanuric acid — a stabilizer that builds up over time and essentially locks your chlorine, making it inactive regardless of how much you add. High phosphate levels from organic debris and runoff can also fuel rapid algae growth. The fix isn't more chemicals; it's diagnosing which problem you actually have — and that's exactly what we specialize in.
How does Colorado's altitude affect pool chemistry?
More than most homeowners realize. At Denver's elevation, UV radiation is significantly stronger than at sea level — which means chlorine and other sanitizers degrade faster between visits. Lower atmospheric pressure also affects evaporation rates and chemical off-gassing. Standard dosing guidelines written for sea-level pools don't translate directly to Denver. Our service protocols are calibrated specifically for Front Range conditions.
How does heavy rain affect my pool's water chemistry?
Colorado thunderstorms can do real damage to water balance in a short time. Rain dilutes chlorine and salt levels, drives pH down toward the acidic range, and washes in organic contaminants that feed algae. After a significant storm, your pool should be tested and likely shocked before the next swim. If you're on a weekly schedule and a storm hit mid-week, don't wait — reach out and we'll advise whether an interim visit makes sense.
