How often should a Denver pool be professionally cleaned?

Weekly service is the standard for Denver pools during the active season — and for good reason. Colorado's UV intensity at altitude accelerates chlorine breakdown, meaning chemistry can drift significantly in seven days. A weekly visit covers water testing and balancing, debris removal, brushing, and an equipment check. That consistency is what keeps water clear and prevents the kind of buildup that shortens liner and equipment life.

Why is my Denver pool turning green even though I'm adding chemicals?

The most common culprit in Colorado is elevated cyanuric acid — a stabilizer that builds up over time and essentially locks your chlorine, making it inactive regardless of how much you add. High phosphate levels from organic debris and runoff can also fuel rapid algae growth. The fix isn't more chemicals; it's diagnosing which problem you actually have — and that's exactly what we specialize in.

How does Colorado's altitude affect pool chemistry?

More than most homeowners realize. At Denver's elevation, UV radiation is significantly stronger than at sea level — which means chlorine and other sanitizers degrade faster between visits.
